I didn’t know what the quilt was before reading this article. Now, looking at the images included in this, I was surprised to find that it has been around for quite some time. I’m not really shocked that these members are equally apart of a controversial presidential fan club. From the speakers story, obviously it must have been so hard to see her husband go down this spiraling path during a pandemic. In many cases, especially those who are at a higher risk due to health concerns, I couldn’t imagine what it was like to see this happen to someone so close. Maybe it wasn’t fully covered by news stations because of the controversy? Then again, it was involving a group that I generally don’t associate myself with. I still cant believe I didn’t hear about this!

I have known about QAnon for a while now. For the most part I have ignored it, not wanting to subject myself to the ridiculous theories however since the election they have been hard to ignore. Its sad and concerning that so many people beleive in this and its sad that the people at the top of these conspiracies are taking advantage of these peoples anxiety.

I think the most concerning part of QAnon that makes it so alarming is the fact that it encompasses so many conspiracy theories and welcomes that form of thinking in all aspects of American politics and society. The setup and basis of QAnon tells that them that those in power are vulnerable and need protection which allows them to validate their view that any criticism of a public figure that they support is an attack and threat to their safety.

Wow I had no idea this was actually a thing until our last class when the teacher briefly mentioned this and then further reading the article. It is so bizarre but yet so fascinating to me that such a theory with absolutely no apparent foundation of reality can become so popularized. Mind blowing.

It’s crazy how QAnon is a topic that is so current and real. While reading about QAnon, it seems like something out of a movie or from a different era. Personally, I find interest in conspiracy theories but I feel as if QAnon is a totally different spectrum of conspiracy theories.

Prior to reading this article, I had no idea what QAnon was. I think that this article made it a lot easier to understand what is meant by this term. I think that it is something that is very present in our lives in this day and age.

I am really into conspiracies, but this is absolutely absurd. When I was about to write about this, I had 0 clue what QAnon was until I actually read the article and realized that I had known about this for awhile. To me, it’s so odd how so many people can get sucked up by this and completely disregard the reality of this. For instance, I know someone who thinks Covid is a hoax, but believes that the world will end in the upcoming years. It’s very interesting to think how some people let media and other things influence their opinions and let it take control of their lives.

I fell like groups like this see faults in the system and go into them like breaking thought them will mean the best for everyone, but it the case of the government and things that run the world, brig up those faults cause problems for everyone and then people talk and start to go assist each other, but for them breaking though these faults is something thats important to them. I don’t agree with any of the things they did but having that self right is something were granted in this nation.
