I really enjoyed how this video made it known that almost all of the diagrams of our universe that we have probably seen in our lives were not to actual scale. It blows me away that from neptune, the sun was so incredibly small and far away that you couldn’t tell that there were other planets scattered throughout the distance between the two. It puts into perspective how small we really are.
this video just puts into perspective how tiny we are compared to everything out there, whether we have no knowledge or know it fully exists. personally, it a stress relief video because it makes me think about how much we worry compared to how tiny we are.
I remember back in middle or high school we did something similar to this to show the scale of the solar system, however this is much better done and it really puts into perspective how big the solar system is and how small the planets are in relation.

This video was really cool. I liked how the group made their own scale of the solar system. It is wild to think about how big the universe is and how small we are, down to the atom. The universe is a really interesting thing, I could look at the sky forever thinking about all the things out there.
This video showed me how little we are. It feels like we are so big but compared to our entire universe we are a small aspect of it all. It clears up how it looks a little more.
the diagrams help you understand and preserve the reality of the size of things in the universe, We just live our lives knowing what big and small are but the things we know as big might be a truck but you you think about it the truck is on a planet the size of a billion trucks and in the a solar system the size of trillions of trucks and the mear fact that you cant experience that is something that make the size of things in the universe hard to grasp
I thought it was really interesting to see once you get out into space that you can cover the earth with your thumb, that shows me that we are so much smaller than we actually think. I also liked how they did a real life model of the solar system so we can actually see just how far away all the planets are from each other and the sun.
This video really put the size of planets and the vast space between planets into perspective. This was the first time I totally understood how far we truly are from other planets as well as our own moon.
I really liked this video because it makes me think of how sometimes we like to believe that our problems and sad occurences that happen in our lives are so huge and terible when in reality our planet is so small in comparison to the galaxy and when it’s talked about in its’ actual scale. We are so small, we think the number of living people on the planet is enormous but when putting the world into perspective it is so so tiny.This video does an incredible job at giving insight on the size of the planets and the sun and the galaxies that are out there that we cannot even see with our own eyes. There is so much more than our eyes can even see yet we think of skyscrapers and airplanes as huge when in reality they are small when being put into perspective.
This video was very thorough. It showed us the true perspective of the solar system. Something I was unaware was so spaced out.
The solar system freaks me out when thinking of the sheer scale and this video just exemplifies that more to me! We have been taught in school and shown the solar system in a unrealistic scale and it’s not until you actually see it for what it is in terms of scale that you realize how freaky it is. Seeing this video also demonstrates to me that from a statistical standpoint, it’s absolutely likely that due to the sheer size of the solar system and the number of planets out there, other lifeforms have to exist. Yeah call them aliens or whatever you want but from a scientific and statistical standpoint it would be naïve for us to think we are alone. Crazy video, but really interesting!
This is so crazy to me, I know the solar system is huge but its cool putting it into perspective. It makes me feel so small seeing this, and its hard to even believe that there is so much beyond what they showed in the video. It doesn’t even seem possible that the universe is really this big.
Such a creative approach in putting how the solar system consists of planets that are miles upon miles away from each other. It makes me think about how many lifetimes it would take if we were to send a 100% heat resistant rover to the sun. Or other exo, sub planets. I also was reminded of how every picture I have come by that of space and the solar system are in fact, not drawn to scale.
This video gave me a better understanding of the universe and how vast it truly is. It makes me wonder what else can be in space that cannot be seen with a telescope.
